Two Ways to Support our Club

Of course the best way to support AOSNY is to join the fun and participate in many of our outreach activities. We understand that not every one can do this, and yet would still like to help our beautiful mission. If you would like to make a donation to support our club, there are two easy ways to do so.

The Amateur Observers’ Society of New York (AOSNY) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization and, as such, personal donations are tax deductible within federal guidelines. Please check with a tax accountant for details.

Our mission is to bring astronomy to the public and provide astronomy resources to members expresses our commitment not only to serve our members, but also to educate and inspire the public.

At the Sue Rose Observatory in Southold’s Custer Observatory, AOS has modified the 14-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope to project electronic images of the night sky objects we point it at for all the visiting families to see together on a large display monitor. This is just one great example of how your generous donations help support our club carry out its mission. To donate, please use the link below. It will take you to our secure PayPal service and accepts credit, debit as well as PayPal. Thank you for your support!

Please select “Friends & Family” when using PayPal to make donations.

From time to time people discover they or someone they know have astronomy stuff they no longer want or need. Telescopes and binoculars deserve to have starlight passing through them, so what better way to make that happen than to explore donating it to our organization? Our experts can determine if it is in usable condition. So if we can use it—we’re happy to give it a new home. If you would like to talk to us about donating something, please use the link below to get started… the universe thanks you and so do we.
